Genuinely one of the worst hospitals in the state if not nation, if not world. I could get better and more respectable care in a Guatemalan prison with brass knuckle scars branded across my face.

Seriously, though. It’s the staff. I’m not gonna be picky about food or a psychosis patient yapping at me or the lack of space. The ladies behind the desk are generally disrespectful and condescending. There’s one particular lady who kept calling me bud and buddy. When I asked her to stop I got eye rolls and an attitude from staff. Did she stop calling me buddy? Sometimes. I even bumped into her at a gas station and she was treating me like a physically deformed and mentally challenged child. Humiliating. If you can’t be respectful, don’t work in mental health care. You’re not our heroes and you’re not good people. I could give more examples but it’s already running on. But i guess, good for you getting a sense of superiority before you die alone with some cats. Anyways, the patients saying it’s “sad” this facility is lowly rated are probably just aloof to the fact that the staff is patronizing them. If you get a chapter 51 or need a place to stay, go to Rogers. I don’t like them either, but that’s for very personal reasons, WMHC is just BAD. Rogers at least act like a legitimate staff and not narcissists.

So disappointing to see this facility is rated so low. IWhen I stayed here I was treated with nothing but loving kindness. This was in 2021. One of the best facilities I've ever visited. Thank you for all your love and support

I always have to call clinic for my refills despite being seen every 3 months by my provider. My pharmacist tells me he emails requests for refills numerous times and never gets a response. These are not controlled substances. They never apologize, they only offer excuses. If I could find alternate provider I’d switch providers. Due to national shortages of mental health providers, I’m stuck with trying to get care with this clinic.I have had chronic problems getting my meds.I have no problems with my family Dr providing refills when I’m seen annually. Clinic must do better.

My stay at waukesha county mental health was not a pleasant stay, the staff was very rude and extremely lazy, by all means inattentive. The staff will many times if not most of the time, will forget patient’s request or ignore them. Some of the staff need an attitude adjustment because a lot of the times their approach come off very demeaning, downgrading, aggressive and provoking. They also do things like wash your clothing and then deliver them half soaked, as if it was too difficult to put them in the dryer for the full amount of time needed for them to dry fully. The facility is also very uncomfortable with not a lot of space and many of the supplies such as crayons and markers are very old, half broken, and dry. They have some groups during the day which is the only productive thing but after the first 2, with the last group ending at about 3:30 p.m there is absolutely nothing to do besides watch tv, which are only channels 1-24 & because there was a disagreement between one of the patients and staff. 1 of the staff member’s took it upon herself to decided she would take action to put a parental control block, which meant that any of the good channels that were on tv with a pg 13 rating would become blocked! Even when the minimum age requirement to become admitted to the facility is 18. It doesn't stop there recently because of the covid 19 spectrum arranged for customers to receive free showtime which she also decided to block. Keep in mind after 3:30 p.m is absolutely nothing to do besides socialize amongst other patients, watch tv, or stay in your room. The facility by no means in spacious it gets to the point of extreme boredom and sadness. They dont have many games because most of the games are missing pieces. The food is not bad except For the amount of $ the insurance pays for a patients stay does not reflect on some of the quality of food you receive such as the juice and vegetables + the desert you receive is the exact same product as you would get if you were in the waukesha county jail. Many, but not all staff from my experience caused more stress on the patients than they did help from what i witnessed. This facility is unprofessional and lacks helpful rehabilitation to its patients.

This place is a joke. The staff love to provoke the patients and ignore them. It takes them like 3 hours if not more to get you what you need. The staff are so rude, its pathetic. They make ppl sign chapters just so that they can extend your stay to get their money. Theres no sympathy or motivation when it comes to the staff. THEY DO NOT CARE & they show you by their actions they don’t care. Ive never been treated so badly before by any facility like I experienced there. Its abuse how they operate.

Do not go here , rude care takers and nurses , FRIEDA usually works weekends and with holds snacks from patients she doesn’t get along with, she abuses her power and gas lights patients, she should NOT be around any one especially people with mental health issues.

Awful. They would be getting one star if it wasn't for the couple of staff members that kept me sane, the rest of them quite seriously deserved a spot here as patients for psychiatric evaluations. The doctor/doctors here barley seem qualified to be running psyichals on patients; Better have a doctors order if you want an ice pack or Tylenol, can't get them without it. "Tons of activities to do to keep you preoccupied" AKA watch TBS&TMJ4, read 4 year old magazines that are missing half the pages, draw pictures or sleep. The top quality of this facility was a mix between having the ability to even watch television and the food(pretty good honestly give the cooks a raise) Quite literally became more depressed sitting at this facility than I was when I checked in, atleast that feeling has passed since being discharged. This is not an exaggerated review at all, think twice before sending a loved one here.
