Friendly staff, responsive and quick scheduling which was very positive. I went there based on the many raving reviews but am disappointed - waited for 22 min and another 20 in his treatment room. I had high hopes but came to find out that not only I was overcharged (insurance bill reads “62 min spent w/ patient ” while actual time, exclusive of wait time was 20 min) but also I was not diagnosed correctly which led to more damage. So unfortunate.

Dr. Solon is the best!

As a runner, I suffered from Achilles Tendonosis for years.

Dr. Solon x-rayed my feet and suggested procedures Ostectomy Calcaneous / Gastrocnemius Recession.

It was an outpatient surgery. I was in a walking boot for months and I needed to have my foot elevated above my heart for months. Eventually the boot came off and the elevation time decreased and I was able to walk around. I did a LOT of physical therapy to build up to running again. I was able to begin running about 3/4 of a year after the surgery, so it was a long haul, but the running felt great right from the start. It's so nice not to be limping at all following a run.

From my first visit with Dr. Solon, I knew he'd be the guy for me. He's knowledgable, experienced and confident and let me know immediately the success was dependent upon me following his orders during the recovery stage. He explained all the details of the surgery as well as the recovery process and was very patient with answering all of my questions. The actual surgery went fine - I had built it up in my mind that it was going to be painful and I'd have a complete loss of movement in anything foot-related, but it was not that way at all. I could still move my toes. I could get around easily on crutches or a knee cart. I bought an elevated leg pillow that was very comfortable for keeping my foot elevated.

The healing progressed nicely. I was a little sad on the day Dr. Solon told me there was no need for future followups. I had enjoyed our visits and his enthusiasm at my progress as well as deserved pride at the outstanding work he had done. Dr. Solon's staff was fantastic at helping with scheduling and insurance issues. I miss those folks.

If I have any foot issues in the future, Dr. Solon would abe the first doctor I'd wish to see. I am very grateful for his service!

My 1st impression was bad, I waited in the lobby for 20mins past my appointment time. Which I got there 5mins early. Then they brought me back in the room and I waited for another 15mins in there. By that time I was upset ?, new patient, time being wasted, no communication. I made that know to Dr. Solon and we had a man to man straight up conversation. After we understood each other, I was excited to see the passion that he has for what he does. As well as the attention and dedication he takes for each and every client. Dr. Solon is a stand up guy and I am glad I stayed with him. He is doing his best at making my life more comfortable and I truly appreciate that.

Dr. Solon and his staff are simply amazing. I have so much gratitude for the medical treatment I received. They all made the process as enjoyable as possible with smiles. I highly recommend him for his genius in his work. I never felt rushed or uncertain of what was going on for my medical issue. Dr Solon is an excellent surgeon with the most genuine bedside manner of any doctor I have ever experienced. I first came to Dr Solon for removal of a plantars wart that I suffered with for 5 years of failed treatments in other practices. He removed several ingrown toenails permanently with a very happy My first foot surgery was repair of a dislocated toe, on my left foot with incredible results. Because I am clumsy, my too long second toe met the same dislocation problem on my right foot. I had surgery on my right foot with excellent results. My husband and I are back to hiking trails in Michigan, Colorado, the Caribbean and I am pain free. So, so happy with Dr Solon and his office staff are among the most friendly people I know. I recommend him to all my friends.

Just had a foot emergency in the middle of a pandemic and had to have medical care. I have been a patient of Dr. Solon for years and when I called I was in the office in less than 2 hours and all fixed up an hour after that. He is the best foot doctor in Grand Rapids. He is the ONLY foot doctor for me. Immensely competent, great people skills, super nice office. Stop looking for a foot doctor and just call Dr. Solon!!
