I cannot say enough good things about the care I received from the BayCare urgent center in Saint Pete Beach. I was in the area for work and due to a bad fall, I broke my hand. Not only was I able to easily make a reservation to be seen in clinic, but the bedside manner and care I received far exceeded my expectations. Each member of their staff is incredibly kind, professional, and takes the time to make sure you feel cared for. The nurse practitioner who saw me and splinted me in particular, I would like to give kudos to. Thank you for being the kind of medical professional our world needs and thank you for sharing your own personal experience with me while I was in your care. An injury is never fun, especially when you are so far away from home. The BayCare urgent care team made me feel so comfortable and most importantly, safe. Thank you team!

Friendly staff. Dr. & nurse both had good bedside manner. My online appointment time was adhered to, they had everything they needed there to take care of me - tetanus shot & antibiotics. I like that I didn't have to go anywhere else. I was a self-pay patient & their prices were reasonable, better than I expected.

A medical concern popped up. I stopped by the facility(St Pete Beach), which, is a couple of blocks from my home. The staff was very cordial and professional. The doctor recommended an MRI which my regular physician promptly agreed and is scheduled. On a scale of 1 - 10 I'd give your team a 10 ... PS: if I switch my primary care to you folks I'll be happy to stop by and (not harass the staff), but allow to handle day to day stuff with them ... advise? PS: I'm x-Navy and retired from the VA at Bay Pines.

I received care here yesterday for COVID and the front desk clerk and the nurse were mean and nasty. I know I looked a mess, needed a shower, am older, but I needed care and was not treated well. The Nurse Practitioner, Sharon, was nice enough, did a focused exam and overall was nice , though I wish she would have listened more and less talk. I was trying to tell her something but she plowed ahead with her instructions and seemed in a hurry. I did not mention that I was a Family Nurse Practitioner and usually do not. The nurse was mean, sharp with me and rude. The “Supervisor “
at the front desk was nasty and sharp with me. I was so disappointed

Hey Angie, if you don’t like your job, get a new one. Otherwise don’t act upset and disrespectful when you have patients in front of you. Unacceptable.

Jamie, you were very nice. Thank you for trying to help me.

I arrived and was never told that all marketplace plans are out of network, so first of all, I later was Billed for the entire visit which was nearly $350.

Then the nurse was rude to me because I couldn't remember the names of the antibiotics that gave me rashes (I was on vacation) and she said the dr couldn't treat me, but also was rude to the point that I cried (and I am not a cryer).

I then was treated for an ear infection and bronchitis, though later the medication they gave me did nothing and I worsened and when I went back to the dr at home, they said I did not have an ear infection, but instead extreme airway blockage and pneumonia. They switched antibiotics for me immediately and I began to get well. I had been sick for over 4 weeks.

I do not recommend this facility, it is not fast, the assistants are frustrated and rude and the company knows that they do not take certain insurance providers but purposely do not tell in order to make money.

Please go anywhere else. It was so miserable to continue my vacation sick and then be sick for another 2 weeks. I do attribute this to being misdiagnosed.

Front desk and Med assistant were very caring. The NP was not so caring. Once she told me I was negative for strep and Covid and she quickly spoke what my problem was. Then I asked a couple questions and she just repeated what she so quickly spoke of before and gave me the look of why I am asking questions.
Would not wish that NP on my enemies even.

The front staff are NOT friendly! It was obvious the person was there for a paycheck and that was it! No compassion at ALL. Unfortunately I haven't really ever been to an urgent care where there was much compassion shown but this was really bottom of the barrel. The rest of the staff was OK at best. The NP was probably the most friendliest but she certainly didn't go over board with it. All in all it served it's purpose but If you have a more serious issue I would consider looking up some other UC's in the area.
