Because I'm retired now on a fixed income, I looked on the internet to look up dentists in Mexico. In doing so I met a remarkable dentist in Rosarito, Baja California. About 20 miles south of San Diego. Not only did he turn out to be a fantastic dentist, he is a fantastic, caring human being as well. Most of his patients are American and Canadian. While searching through the internet, this particular dentist caught my attention because he is also a University Professor of Dentistry, to top it off he owns the University in Rosarito. My first appt. I was very impressed with his staff, many who are former students of the University. 2023 Dr. Avila worked on my lower jaw the procedure of denture approximately $1,200. in U.S. I had be given quotes of $7,000. the procedure for upper jaw was $900. U.S. quote was $17,400. they has included some unnecessary dental work extracting some teeth , filling up the holes with bone graft material at $475.00 per hole. Didn't need this done. This most competent master Dentist's name is: Oscar Avilla D.D.S. and this doctor's work to be totally and completely satisfactory. I would describe it as excellent. I am writing this because I received beautiful dental work, at a price I could afford and because I want to share the good news with you. I am an old man now, and I will stake my good name and my reputation on this referral. Don't hesitate to make you appointment . every one speaks English.

Very terrible dentist. They think themselves they are in United States not Mexico. People come to Mexico because it is cheaper. on both occasions I visited I told them that they are expensive but they have no perception. The dentist barely talk to you or talk from her nose ?she was a lady. She over charged me when extracted my tooth and left me bleeding without giving putting a medical cotton on the bleeding. They do not deserve the only start even because I think if you go to a zoo the animals will treat you better. They should study ethics.

The quality of work and continuity of getting things done were outstanding! I had root canal, temps made, permanents made, cavities filled and with thirteen new crowns and the list goes on. They did this in a week! Outstanding service! However, it was strange when the female dentist asked if I was recording. When I said no, it was my phone light that had come on and not a recorder, she didn’t believe me. A few minutes later as I was preparing to leave she told me it was illegal in Mexico to record without permission. She was paranoid I guess. Why on earth would I want to record dental work? I certainly would not want to relive the 10 plus hours in the chair!!!! Next time I will ask for one of the men.

Dr Avila and his team are outstanding. I traveled all the way from Vegas for oral surgery and to say I had major dental anxiety going in , is a understatement. They did terrific work, and I was hardly in any pain at all. They are more skilled,honest,affordable then my local crook of dentists in Nevada His team is honest and didn't try to push stuff on me that I didn't need. Pricing was good too. I felt I was in really good hands under their watch. I Highly recommend Dr Avila and his dental team of experts.

I had two teeth pulled and implants done. Dr. Avila has the most up to date equipment available. The work he did was great. His staff is helpful and efficient. I am going back next week for the crowns and a root canal. The cost was 1/3 of what it is here. They all speak English as well. They also give you an apartment to stay in while you are there having your work done. I plan to go again when I need extensive work done.

Dr Avila and his staff are excellent, I had significant amount of work by Dr Avila my wife had Dr Ramirez, both did superior work, my wife was terrified of having dental work done, but Dr Ramirez put her at ease and was painless, we both joke I had the best dentist !!!! The whole staff is amazing and just great people. I recommend this dentist to anyone who asks and even those who don’t, and all the people we met in Rosarito were wonderful and the food there is fantastic.......
