No one in the organization knows how to help. I spent an hour calling around the directory just trying to figure out which person manages finances and ended up at a dead end. Not very professional

Sun. 5/24/20 - I only put a one star so my comments will post. Unless you click a star it won't post. They deserve NO stars. This company should be investigate and put out of business. Why: Because they sent me a bill I do not owe, and for more than the ER visit copay. My Medical Insurance rep. said I don't owe what this company says, just the ER copay of 250.00. They said they would contact East Valley Emergency Medical Association and tell them this. Now East Valley Emergency Medical Association sent another bill and are trying to charge me $337.00 ($100.O0 less than the first bill), and is way above the copay of 250.00, on top of the Hospital sending me a ANOTHER bill for the original 250.00 ! In my first call East Valley Emergency Medical Association claimed they are INDEPENDENT of the Hospital. My Insurance rep said they are contracted by the doctor who saw me at the ER. So I am being billed WRONGLY for a total of 587.00 for an ER visit in 2/2020 that my Insurance rep says I am only supposed to pay $250.00 copay for the ER visit!

Not a good hospital and will repeatedly try and bill you for more than your insurance says you owe. After doing nothing for me and telling me I needed to go to a bigger ER for care (i.e. a real ER) they tried to charge me $1300 when my insurance claim said I only owed about $260. After 4 months of telling them to fix it they finally sent me some unofficial printout statement with no return envelope saying I owed $266 within 25 days. Avoid this place like the plague!

I share the same experience as all the other reviews. I was taken here and after about 15 days of my visit they just send you bill after bill after bill for services I feel like they didn't even do. Then on top of that I get a separate bill for $1000+ for "the physician and staff" even though I already paid the emergency room bill. Complete ripoff. Avoid this place unless you wanna be overcharged

Please beware whittier hospital emergency room does not employ any of the doctors. So regardless of your insurance and/or the the hospital being in your network you will get a large bill from the Doctor who helped you. For example, In my case I confirmed with my insurance and with the hospital that they were covered by my insurance and in my network. Unfortunately what they don't tell you is that they don't employ the doctors so they are not covered. My insurance paid for the hospital and all the additional services but would not cover the Doctor. Now, I have to pay the Doctor over a thousand dollars for my visit where he saw me for maybe 10 minutes. I also called the doctor office and they do not negotiate at all. So unfortunately even If take all the proper precautions It makes no difference. Stay away unless you have no choice. P.S. They do the billing for Whittier Hospital

I went to this ER because it's in the BCBS network. East Valley submitted a bill in the amount of $875 to BCBS afterward. The member discount between BCBS and East Valley was $147, so BCBS paid East Valley in full of $728, which left patient resposibility to ZERO. But East Valley still kept billing me for that $147 because they said although the facility is in the network BUT "all doctors in the Emergency Care are independent doctors who do not have contract with BCBS". Now they sent my bill to collection agent.

本自已去whittiet hospital看脚部外伤，医院工作人员说急诊很便宜！脚部缝两针医院账单付完了！收到这个医生账单，emergency physician se $771.surgical repair wound$458.night service$80。等了五六个小时！缝合费包括医生费啊！乱收费！还不给打折！

Avoid if you can. Unfriendly associates, delayed and problematic billing department will have no issue creating more issue that you already have.
